I would not say this is a war crime or a dirty tactic at all. Yet if you read the posts after the first image of this it was like how dare the Russians do this.

Those mines while deadly will never be detonated. That said half the people that drive on Deerfoot would blow themselves up. We should probably do that in Calgary. Sure would show who is texting and driving.

This stuff makes no sense. The mines were placed so the Russians could evacuate behind them, they are to prevent Ukrainians from potentially pursuing a retreating convoy. The spacing makes sense in the context of a tank or personnel carrier, not a passenger car.
There's no propaganda value here compared to the strikes on the maternity hospital in Mariupol or Kharkiv City hall.
