His chance of success probably mostly comes down to the state of his short game and putting. He's not going to be dominant with his ball striking again, but based on the father son tourney, it looked good enough to be competitive.
I could see him being competitive at a Masters one year, since it has a small field and requires being good at so many elements. If he can get his short game back to what it was, he could win. That's a pretty big if though and is something older players start to lose, but his injuries shouldn't hold him back too much in that part of the game.
