Jesus, alopecia is one of the most benign "medical conditions" you could ever experience. It's on the level of eczema.
Now, that's not to say it cannot be difficult to cope with, especially if you're in the public eye, but the severity of her "condition" is not severe enough to avoid a joke altogether.

And she has publicly come out and embraced it.
If it was only known through gossip and she was covering up the condition still, it's a different ball game. Because then it's probably considered more of a sensitive issue that she obviously hasn't given her consent to make it public knowledge.
The fact that she's obviously rolling with it now makes a rather brief, passing joke much less of a big deal.
