I honestly think Tapia is a downgrade on Grich (which is why we got a prospect too in the deal I think). He has very little power, and consistently has a wRC+ of 80-90, whereas Grich was closer to 95-105 range.
This feels like more of a money move than anything. Get a cheaper 4th OF whose impact vs Grich will likely not really be felt. He could be good off the bench for a speed option that isn't a liability in the field either.
