The first half was good, but as the mystery unraveled and the villains came more to the front it fell apart, and that final showdown was pure Michael Bay. I also couldn't get over the fact that only a small group of people were investigating after so many people were killed, including several cops and a police chief in a cartel style execution. In reality if that happens it's front page news across the country and that small town is flooded with federal agents. Also how is it that Reacher can kill countless south american special forces guys without breaking a sweat, but a skinny tweaker almost takes him out with a crowbar?

I did enjoy Alan Ritchson as Reacher, I just hope for season 2 they give him a better script to work with

Not sure if or how many Lee Child novels you've read, but the source material is, well, simple. I've either read or listened to every one, and when the best line is 'Reacher said nothing' that probably says enough. Very few changes were made from the novel to screenplay, as I understand (and recall) - except to bring it a bit from '95 to '22.
I expect more of the same for future season(s). Which is great, as far as I'm concerned. It is what it is.
