The Hurricanes scored 2 PPGs and relied on Andersen's strong goaltending as he made 39 saves in Carolina's win. The win puts the Hurricanes into a 1st place tie in the eastern conf. with the Panthers.

LOL on the OIlers and it didn't help them that they were 0/3 on the PP. The Stars were perfect on the PK. The win puts Dallas into 8th place of the western conf, 1 point ahead of the Knights.

Byfield scored twice in the Kings pounding of the Predators. The Kings had a PPG, SHG, ENG, and an even strength goal. The win puts Los Angeles five points up on the 8th place stars.
