I never wrote off Howard (considering he got to the Elite 8 last year) but I did think the season would be poor by recent Michigan standards. I thought they'd make the Tournament, but by the skin of their teeth...
I was hyped by the pre-season ranking as well, but those were predicated on a Freshman class from Kentucky/Duke, not from Michigan regardless of ranking. Houstan has been hot and cold along with Diabate...and Jones took a while to find his role.
Nevertheless, very impressive achievement ... I like the Villanova matchup as they aren't going to out athlete Michigan...but they are a very good shooting team.
