Is this potentially not what happened? They had 30+ trades, 50+ players moving yesterday.
It was insiders and then the two teams that announced the trades, not the NHL, right? Is there not potential that Dadonov got wind of the trade before the NHL had approved the trade as they were still dotting the is and crossing the ts and here we are now?
Also, how did the Heatley non-trade work? It was confirmed to be Smid, Penner, Cogliano, and then Healtey refused to waive. Was a fax ever sent in that trade?
