I have no problems with teams taking advantage of LTIR for cap relief when they check all the boxes and keep their affairs in order, but if you're strolling too close to the sun and trip over your own untied shoelace and fall face first into the sun, let the mother burn.
I don't see any way the league can't let Vegas deal with the full consequences of their own negligence here. This is as bad as the Blackhawks fax guffaw and should be dealt with in the same manor for McCrimmon.
