Smear campaign is in full swing on HF. Surprised to hear that, as by all accounts he was an awesome stand up guy in the community and in the locker room. I don't think anybody here faulted him for what BT gave up for him, or his character. Not his faults the GM overpaid for him and he wasn't able to live up to the billing.
But as ^ said, the band-aid has been ripped off of society for who has wacky underlying beliefs that go against the grain of society and label you as "one of them". AKA anti-vax. We all have had that band-aid ripped of to reveal various friends, family and colleagues we once considered 'normal' to be part of that group. Obviously the NHL has a bunch of players like that and Hamonic appears to be part of that. With that in mind, it's not surprising it would make him an outcast in the locker room.
Just a strange situation all around.
