Either way, it’s not on Dadonov. If Vegas asked and Ottawa lied/was mistaken, Ottawa should pay for it, not Dadonov.
This was a summer trade, well after the drafts and UFA day, not a frantic deadline deal. Plenty of time for Vegas to get it right.
