Both of these players actually improve the Oilers. They don't move the dial much, but they are still better. I would put Brassard ahead of Kassian and Yamamoto on their depth chart and Oiler fans seem to have a high opinion of their worth.

Lagesson is just not good, like at all. There are very few teams in the NHL where he wouldn't be playing in the AHL. Kulak may be a bottom pairing guy, but he is at least effective at some aspects of the game.
