I don't have anything better to say, but sometimes music can provide a window inward to deal with things in a better way. Sometimes, it's just a bunch of noise that doesn't help at all, so there's that.

It's said that even sad music is therapeutic because it gives you that same feeling of 'being understood' as a friend who listens and empathizes with you would.
It might even exceed it, since there are some songs that just echo your emotions/reach you in a way that no fellow person can.
