Other top men’s teams, skipped by Matt Dunstone (out of Regina) and Mike McEwen (out of Winnipeg), are also expected to split up, with the skips forming new foursomes.

Sources say Dunstone is returning to play out of Manitoba, where he became a Canadian junior champion in 2013 and 2016. Dunstone is reportedly teaming up with B.J. Neufeld, a Manitoban who formerly played as an import with Team Koe, up-and-comer Colton Lott, and Ryan Harnden, an import from Northern Ontario who was formerly the lead with Team Jacobs.

Winnipegger Ryan Fry could also be returning to Manitoba, after years of playing with Ontario’s John Epping, Northern Ontario’s Jacobs and Newfoundland’s Gushue. There’s speculation he will play third with McEwen’s new team.
