I would rather overpay a little here and there for the right pieces. This team fits together really well and has a real identity for the first time in his tenure.

Doesn't he like to get input from coaches? Who would be smarter on which players to bring in...Sutter or Ward? Sutter or Peters? Sutter is a top notch coach and knows who he can use and he has experience from the GM position. He may not tell Treliving how to do his job but he gives him quality feedback.
