Wrestling isn't about catering to the stupid folk. To enjoy it you have to be able to suspend your belief in reality. I don't watch wrestling anymore, but I used to be huge into wrestling. So much so that I studied every aspect of it that I could and even thought about trying to become a wrestler. I think what helped me to watch and enjoy pro wrestling was the ability to just slip away into another realm and enjoy the show. It isn't any different than going to the movies. Some of the fight and car chase scenes are rather extravagant just like the wrestlers and their matches.
