You mean before the time line jump? Because if I understood things, Erradication Day meant that the Borg queen was the end of the Borq species. But fixing the timeline would mean that the Borg would return full force in the Delta quadrant. To me that's quite the ethical dilemma. By returning things to normal JLP would doom billions to the Borg horror in the Delta Quadrant in exchange for a kinder and gentler return of the Federation.
To me, maybe the space nazi confederation might not be such a bad idea. I mean clearly the dominion never shows up as Gal Dukat is dead before the events of DS9.
