FYI you can build 2 smaller structures, as long as they are not touching. So just cut the roof in half.
I wanted a shed with an extended roofline for sheltering garden stuff, but it was over the size limit, so I have one roof line a few inches above and overlapping. Meant another set of posts, and a bit less stable, but hey. Rules!
