I swear Logo had a different vocal tone/style before, but since pairing up with Nault he just parrots his gloomy tone, so you have two guys echoing each other with the same comatose delivery.
They started out talking about Tom Brady extending his career, and managed to make it sound like he was delivered news that he had been diagnosed with a terminal disease.
Rather than communicating it as exciting news for the sport and fans to be celebrated they instead went on speculating about when father time would catch up with him, and how long he had left.
But you can have radio personalities deliver even negative headlines while still keeping things engaging and upbeat. I think I've dissected it down to the fact that Nault starts his sentences on a higher tone, then descends as he speaks and trails off on a lifeless low tone. Basically the personification of the "womp, womp, womp" sound from game shows when you lose.
