Not sure I buy the explanation, but I'll take it.

EDIT: Watching the replay on a full size monitor, it does look like Wilson's left skate contacts Johnny's right skate. Hard to say what contact occurs between Wilson's left leg and Johnny's left leg (if anything it does look more like a quad (charley horse?) versus a knee): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QbSZP-N89TA
