Yeah but Adams wont play under the tag amount or term anyhow.
All this does is buy time to work out a long term deal that will lower the cap hit.
None of this is really surprising after watching/reading stuff the last month or so.
But Rodgers being the diva he is, needed a bunch of attention and waited til the last minute to make things official.
