Many officers and enlisted and political figures who did not meet their fate at Nuremberg were de-nazified and many became successful businessmen and scientists and engineers.

Operation Paperclip was one mission that brought many key V2 rocket personnel to the US including Wernher von Braun to head NASA and many more key personnel who may have had a hand in creating materials and bio weapons etc. were fought over between the Americans and the Soviets in the post-war world.
