It was an easy choice. Imo Bennett will also not perform at this level beyond this season. He has already slowed considerably.

I doubt it, Bennett has found a good home in Florida and they use him properly.
Bennett is a good physical two way center. He is slowing a bit yes but he will likely hover around 50 points a year and provide all of the other good stuff.
Bennett is a good player, we don't have to be salty about it. It didn't work here and the organization fumbled Bennett more tomes than can be counted. It happens and it is what it is.
Personally I hope he goes on to have a great career. He plays the game the right way and is a stand up guy.
