Which obviously is targeted to silence people from telling the truth, but this is such a weird way to do it, because it makes everyone and anyone participating in spreading Putins lies about Ukraine legally culpable if there's a regime change, and I don't see that as something that would actually strengthen Putin's position.
In general it seems like a terrible idea to even open up the possibility of someone going to court to argue what is the truth about Ukraine, no matter how corrupt the legal system is.

It is however a decisively double or nothing move, which makes it incredibly sad.

In a way it’s kinda fascinating to watch modern fascism unfold. It’s different than 20th century fascism but certainly some of the tell tale signs are there.
