Russia now has a new law which makes spreading disinformation about the Russian military punishable by fine or up to 15 years of prison.
Which obviously is targeted to silence people from telling the truth, but this is such a weird way to do it, because it makes everyone and anyone participating in spreading Putins lies about Ukraine legally culpable if there's a regime change, and I don't see that as something that would actually strengthen Putin's position.
In general it seems like a terrible idea to even open up the possibility of someone going to court to argue what is the truth about Ukraine, no matter how corrupt the legal system is.
Idk what to call it. Chaotic fascism?
It is however a decisively double or nothing move, which makes it incredibly sad.
