I still don't think all parents are going to do what's right for their kids and alot can go wrong, but it's not really the state's job to police this kind of thing, unless it's funded by tax dollars imo.

No you didnt cause me pain, just though it was useful perspective for the conversation, I'm a 60 year old single parent dad just trying to bring my kid up, I've a perfectly normal 31 year old daughter and about a hundred or more foster kids over the years I've helped in their journeys, they are all different as with every kid I'm just making it all up as I go, trying to be the support they need, I never know with any of my kids if I'm doing the right thing, I always know that I love my kids and I am trying to do the right thing though.
