I think we are at a point were Ukraine needs to hold out until the sanctions on Russia squeeze them so hard that they are compelled to stop the war. Once it becomes desperate enough at home, they will have to stop and/or someone in the inner circle with betray and murder Putin. There is no end-game where Putin (and probably Lavrov) comes out of this alive.

That's how I see it unfolding.

The hope is that with thousands of volunteers joining the fight, the West pouring material and dollars into Ukraine, they can hold out until Russia falls economically.

We are at a point where The West needs to completely include Russian Energy in the sanctions.
