I guess my superhero fatigue has extended to all versions of superhero movies, whether they be campy, funny, or gritty. Actually, I find gritty gets old the quickest, while humour and action can reinvent themselves.

If you want to make a gritty movie, why even put comic book characters in there?

Maybe I am just not into gritty movies. I mean if some studio wanted to remake the Goonies into a hard R-rated movie by throwing in some child rape, I'd probably give it a hard pass.
