Yeeeeep. The biggest Jian Ghomeshi fan I knew was a woman; coincidentally, the same age as Sarah Polley. She was a dedicated listener to Q, loved Ghomeshi going back to his days with Moxy Fruvous. She thought he was super attractive, articulate, and one of the best interviewers in the media. She was over the moon when Ghomeshi started following her on Twitter about 12 years ago. (And I bit my tongue and didn't speak my mind when I thought, "Yeah, he 'follows' you 'cause you're a dedicated fan with D-cups and a twitter feed full of photos of you doing yoga poses in the mountains...")
Honestly though, with respect to his skills as an interviewer, I agreed. I thought he was a great interviewer, and I also regularly listened to Q.
I kind of drifted away from the show (and, for unrelated reasons, that big fan of his) a couple of years before the abuse allegations came out. By that time I had long since not had any contact with that former female acquaintance, but I wondered how she felt knowing now that Ghomeshi was actually a manipulative, violent son-of-a-*****...
Been a big fan of Marie Henein ever since though. Super smart legal mind.
