And it looks like when he coached in LA he only had 3 Right shot D most years. Right shots are rarer, when injuries happen you make do.

In the case of a short term fill-in, and Stone v. Valimaki v. Mackey, I’d say it’s not so much what Sutter wants as far as RH/LH, it’s what the player is able to do. Stone has played both sides IIRC.
But I suppose there’s other factors like fit. Who plays most like Kylington, assuming they slot into the same spot to avoid messing the other pairings?
