BP is going to take up to a 25 billion dollar write off by doing this.

Now ban Russian oil imports Canada. Still no ban from what I saw on Canadian sanctions website states only a ban on exports of oil and oil supplies to Russia.

US has still not banned oil imports from Russia either.

What is the hold up?
