My use of ‘experimental’ is what the health-care system considers experimental. All new drugs are experimental until granted approval – and key steps in the approval process were deliberately skipped in order to rush these drugs to market.

Incidentally, you cannot simply choose to get AstraZeneca or J&J. When I signed up for vaccination, I had to take whichever vaccine was available at one of the very limited number of pharmacies where I could get an appointment. At that time, J&J had not even been approved in Canada. At no time was it possible for me to take anything BUT an mRNA injection.

I'm double-vaccinated and boostered myself. But I don't blame anyone who chose differently, and I don't believe it should be made compulsory. Above all, I do not believe people should be deprived of their livelihood without due process – EVER – for any reason, let alone for refusing to get a shot.

Apparently this makes me a tinfoil-hat-wearing lunatic. God, I hate Canadians sometimes.

Mandates meany you had to satisfy a condition for employment, yes. You can be banished from several occupations for not having the right government imposed requirements - it’s not an actual issue.
It's an actual issue when the government suddenly imposes new requirements that have absolutely nothing to do with fitness to perform the job.

That's not what numerous news reports are saying.
