I don't understand why the global community isn't thinking a little more out of the box with this? Just the Covid ramifications of millions huddled in very close quarters and than fleeing has the chance to be a nightmare. We have risk associated with the nuclear reactors like Chernobly and others still in operation that have the chance to be catastrophic for the global community.
The world has known about this plan for a very very long time, it was evident but it does seem that the Ukrainian army seems to be very very unprepared for this. I can understand that the Russian armed forces are a vastly stronger military power, but you would have thought that in advance the world would have been able to send significant military weapons and capabilities. Top tier stuff.
I would have thought that technical knowledge and assistance with the cyber attacks from Russia would have been a top point of assistance, this war is also being fought online as well.
I get the sanctions and all from a business point of view but let's get real here, this isn't affecting Putin one bit and factored into his calculation. I love how the global community also caved to the SWIFT banking system sanctions, that could have been a big one now. The man is considered by many to be the worlds wealthiest based upon his assets and his ability to get what he wants . He's played chess and the other side is playing checkers.
Disappointing all around when we could have clipped his wings quickly.

How do you feel about Trump's comments about, and support for, Putin this week?
