Jets are going to have to go 20-10-3 the rest of the year to get a sniff of the playoffs. Since they're 9-9-3 under Lowry so far, that's way too big of a stretch. Seems they should manage the rest of the season accordingly, but .....

Should we start scouting the top 10 of this year's draft maybe look for another perfetti type of player that's ready to make the jump to the NHL and our there anywhere that'd you would like to see in a jets jersey, btw is Connor bederds eligible for this year's draft

Why can’t a coach (yes I’m looking at you Dave Lowry) just tell the team before a game “I want you, for this one game, to focus on constantly going to the net and standing in front of it. If you do that you will be rewarded with more ice time regardless of what line you play on.”

Calgary always smells blood in the water and is constantly throwing the puck into the high danger areas, meanwhile the jets are often coasting around looking for that perfect cross ice pass. Gotta start throwing everything on net if you want a greasy road win in a tough building.

So was the plan this period to just turtle and let the flames tire themselves out?

I wish the Jets moved the puck as quickly as the Flames do. Jets are always so damn slow moving the puck in all situations

I don’t know if anyone else noticed, but just before the flames broke out of their own end for the last time, Scheifele just dogged it back to the bench. I had to go look again. No hustle at all. You would never know that it was the last minute of a tied game. Had he made any attempt to hustle back to the bench, one of our forwards could’ve got on earlier and maybe broke up their zone entry.

I'll keep calling them Calgary Red Army for awhile. Its fun. Sutter teams often have a 10G winning streak, its uncanny. But they often have slumps too. meh Calgary got better with the Toffoli add. They should be tougher in playoffs this season but we'll see. Its the Calgary Flames.

The Flames winning in regulation is better than the alternative of a 3pt game and the Jets are now after this weekend out of the running. They had to have these games against Edm and Cgy and lost both. Amazingly the Jets have lost 30/50 games this season. Only all the loser pts are keeping them from being WAY out of the picture.

Around the league Nashville is in a nosedive, Dallas not finding any traction and so that best scenario for Oilers is probably 2nd place. Possibly 3rd, but WC spots look to be pretty available. The Western Division WC competition are trending south.

Calgary wins because their goalies do not give up utter laughable muffin goals and also steal them games.
