This caused me to look at the east standings for the first time in awhile. A 10 point spread from the last wild card position to the next team, that's nuts. That same spread in the west takes you from wildcard to the 4th worst team in the conference (San Jose). The east isn't as full as dominant teams as I thought, they just have a large pool of also-rans to beat up on
Also WTF happened to the Islanders? Back-to-back conference finals appearances to 19 points out of the playoffs, did they get completely hammered by injuries or covid?
