Listening to the podcast and conservatives in general, they keep saying Trudeau failed to negotiate with the convoy. Why in heavens sake would Trudeau negotiate with someone whose demands include overthrowing the government and replacing it with their own unelected "convoy" government?
The one podcast member criticizes Trudeau for demonizing them as among other things "confederates" which "I don't even understand in the context of Canada". Maybe he should focus on why there is such a large amount of protestors flying the confederate flag then and wearing Trump 2024 hats? And as we all know that is just the tip of that iceberg.
They argue that the threshold of "threat of serious violence" was not met yet according to the OPS they could not enforce any laws for three straight weeks because of the threat of serious violence.
Other than the host, Chamath is the only one who isn't using lies and rhetoric that has proven to be false to back his claims. My biggest problem with Chamath is he never acknowledges the police weren't enforcing laws in Coutts or Ottawa and there was no foreseeable end to these protests. I think there is a discussion to be made but the discussion should start with why did the police do nothing in Ottawa or Coutts until the emergency act was invoked?
