It's been a pretty competitive game, lots of action at both ends. Marchment with another 2 goals tonight to continue his hot streak.
I saw something in this game I don't think I've ever seen before. Marchment was skating in trying to make a play and he was hit by Foligno, knocking Marchment down. The referee calls a penalty on the play, buuuuut hold on folks! Foligno freaks out a little after the call, and the officials convene at center ice to talk it out. Not sure what was said, but I bet the conversation went something like "yeah man, he called you out for a good reason. None of us saw anything." On replay he hits him right in the shoulder. Perfectly legal play.
The official goes to center ice, waves at Foligno to come out of the box, and then sheepishly says "There's no penalty on the play."
WOW...never thought I'd see an official actually admit making a mistake. Is the sky green in this new world?

This happened the other night in the flames game, 4 min penalty for high sticking got overturned for a 2 minute elbow. Happens not infrequently these days
