If that's true, why are residents of ethnic minorities reporting being abused in some way every time they leave their homes and as a result are afraid to do something as harmless as go buy their living essentials? How is that facilitating the type of Canada that this country is all about?
It's not every person present, but it's not a small amount. It's not a handful. Take your fat fingers out of your ears and see the evidence to the contrary that is plentiful. This is pure ignorance. The people that made the trip and are still occupying the area are those who are invested in this enough to potentially permanently disrupt their own lives in the name of a futile pie in the sky fantasy. This isn't a collection of normal, every day, sensible people. These are the most far-gone individuals of the crop.
It's a sizeable portion that are being disruptive to people's lives. Whether purposefully or inadvertently. Doesn't matter, because at the end of the day they're imposing exactly what they claim to be protesting against by denying the rights of locals to run their businesses and live their lives freely and unimpeded.
Nothing will be achieved by these demonstrations except radicalize a small population further when none of their demands are met and law enforcement eventually does its job, and people on the fence who witness their reckless behaviour firsthand will split away and alienate these people further, seeing that they actually have no respect or decency toward the people whose lives were affected for a month and emanate hypocrisy on the deepest level because they weren't good, wholesome folks to begin with. Just selfish.
