I didn't really notice anyone insisting on trading Hanifin. No one is saying send that bum out of town for a bag of pucks. However, in a way losing Giordano and Kylington's progress has people intrigued as to what other prospects might take a big step with a greater opportunity. We have several young up and coming D that might do just that.
Now I think that Noah has taken a huge step forward and has tremendous value, both to this team and in a trade. I'm not too eager trying to replace him, but I also noticed that this team is quite good at developing D.
The easy choice always seems to be moving bad contracts, especially on a successful team. That said it might not be a possibility and the team might(again it's a hypothetical situation) have to move one of Andersson / Hanifin / Kylington / Mangiapane / Toffoli / Coleman just so they can bring back both Tkachuk and Gaudreau. I have no idea which player out of that list I rather lose. For me it would depend on the return and available replacements within the organization.
