from an asset management standpoint, the ideal play would be to re-sign Gaudreau and Tkachuk, then trade Mangiapane. I don't want to lose him at all, but if push comes to shove, it needs to happen. I'm sure you could get a nice pick/prospect package for him.
Gaudreau - Lindholm - Tkachuk
Coleman - Backlund - Toffoli
would still be a really good top 6.

That's the asset management best case, but I think you really have to judge what Tkachuk intends. It's probably either an 8 year deal to max his $$ now or he's going to bolt after his QO season, in which case maybe you trade him this spring before he does.
