His numbers will go down slightly from his montreal numbers. Montreal had zero depth and Toffoli was getting more than his share of opportunities. In Calgary he'll be on the PP2 unit, instead of always getting PP1 time. He won't get the best matchups. He'll also be expected to play a lot more defence.

I see Toffoli as a 50-60 point player in Calgary. The difference we'll be that he seems like the kind of guy who will maintain or even step up his numbers for the playoffs. He's the key to an offensive one/two punch. Our top line is obviously playing great. Now the second line looks a lot more legit. Would really love it if he can find chemistry with Monahan and bring back his game. That would give the Flames legit centre depth.

Toffoli's motor will keep the opposing defence occupied, which will open up more space for the other skaters. Love the move.
