Yes. This. Stone missed games at the beginning of the season, and there was discussion that he could be out for the full year. And this was long before the Eichel trade. The only reason he returned early is because VGK looked like they might struggle to make the playoffs in November.

The problem is not that players are faking or even exaggerating injuries. The problem is with how we are accustomed to seeing injured players play, and with what players are expected to play through.
