I agree with you—it’s a great phone in many ways. The one thing I didn’t know when I got it was that Samsung doesn’t allow bootloader unlocking on them (in NA). This means no Android development for the phone, sadly.

I am looking to de-Google my life so I thought I could get LineageOS on an older phone. Now I have a OnePlus 6T which I may sell and buy a Pixel to get GrapheneOS (I get the irony of buying a Google phone to de-Google).

In any case, I gave the S8+ to a senior who is pretty happy with it.
