That's a far cry from retiring.
In any event, don't expect the Flames to put a healthy guy on LTIR and then essentially pay extra money for another player. That's simply not the way they operate.
Plus he doesn't have any intention of retiring, he wants to play. You can see how much fun he is having, and it shows in his play.
