Where I disagree (and not with you) is those that have put forth this belief that the GM and coach are NOT on the same page. E.g. referencing some comments from Darryl that suggest he isn't happy with the roster.

I suppose most coaches want a "better" roster and Darryl is no different.
But I'm not seeing guys that he truly wants off the team or is just totally unhappy with. Maybe Valimaki kind of fits there. But based on how he is using the top players, he seems happy enough with them.
Does Darryl think he can win a SC with this roster? I don't imagine that is something we will ever truly know and I wouldn't trust any answer he would give for public consumption. He didn't come back to lose, I'm quite certain of that.
