Sharks 2 Penguins 1: Pingus fall to 2-2-0 under new GM
The new look Penguins lose a close one as they failed to find enough offense despite outplaying the visiting Sharks by a slight margin.
New boys Ricci, Phillips and Rucinsky impress, as Rucinsky scores the Pens lone marker, while Ricci led all players in ice-time with 24 mins and Phillips played a solid 21 mins.
Another solid outing from rookie goaltender Michael Tellqvist in his 2nd start in as many night, only letting in 2 goals on 21 shots. The young tender has filled in admirabley as the Pens have given #1 keeper Manny Legace a much needed rest, only letting in 3 goals in his first 2 starts of the season.
It is fair to say the Pens are taking baby steps, as they have only been shelled once under their new GM.
Tomorrow will be a tough test as they play their 5TH GAME IN AS MANY NIGHTS against the 2nd place Hurricanes.
