Most vaccines aren't developed for novel viruses that were alien to human immune systems. It's actually a medical feat that they were able to make a vaccine as quickly as they did.
But anyway, boosters are common even quickly after the first dose. I had my hep vaccine and then had to get 2 boosters right after.
