I can only speak for myself- the team this year is good. Really good. The best they’ve looked since the first half of 2018.
It has some fundamental issues with roster construction, like it always does.
The best player and offensive catalyst is UFA in 5 months, and Tkachuk is UFA in 17 months.
If they can keep both, great. Fight the good fight.
If they can’t, Elias Lindholm will be the only 1st line player in the entire organization, and there’s no point fooling ourselves that anything of note could be accomplished with a first line of Lindholm, Mangiapane and some UFA/trade.
Someone, please enlighten me - how does this team compete with no Johnny and no Tkachuk.
