I am all for an all-in for this year, and acquiring many of the players that have been mentioned. We’ve got what it takes to win 4/7 games 4 times. Get the depth while you can.

We can worry about other things in the offseason. Assuming the worst, which is Gaudreau not re-signing, then I think it’s the perfect time to do a quick retool. Grab some bad contracts that have a year or two left and give a damn (basically more Lucic’s) and get some picks for 2023/2024.

Back to 2022, you’ve got to give it a shot while you still have Gaudreau at 6.75, Tkachuk at 7, and Mangiapane at 2.425.
