Guys,
especially the newbs, when you have a player injured you must put him on the IR.
The means to do so is the 3rd row of Actions at the top of your team page, simply select "Place Player on IR".
Thennnnnnnnnn...when the injury is healed, you have to bring him back up to your roster, they cant stay on IR indefinitely. That button is right beside Place a Player on IR.

You can track your players rating here,
https://cphlsim.com/rosters/, so you know when to bring them back.
